Does anyone know the '64 Lemans production figures? I can find GTO, but nothing on Lemans and anted to find out convertible production numbers, auto on the floor, with 326 two barrel. Thanks

Lemans convertible:
5,786 w/6 cylinder 11,773 w/8 cylinder Lemans two door hardtop: 7,409 w/6 cylinder 23,901 w/8 cylinder Lemans two door pillared sport coupe: 11,136 w/6 cylinder 20,181 w/8 cylinder Those numbers don't include Tempests or GTOs. I don't have any breakdown on floor shifts or two barrel engines. |

Good info, thanks. I've never seen numbers broken down that far, into v8 vs. 6cyl. What book are you using?
By any chance would anyone have the 6cyl vs v8 numbers for '64 tempests and tempest customs? |

Those numbers are from the book, "75 Years of Pontiac-Oakland" written by John Gunnell and published by Crestline. This book came out in the early 80s and is a great reference, unfortunately it's been out of print for years and years. So, if you're looking for one they are hard to find and cost $$.
It also has production numbers for Tempests, I'll take a look tonight when I get home from work. |

Excellent. Given how rare it is that we see them on the road (or internet), one wouldn't think there were so many of them built. I wonder where they all went. Junked?
Maybe that's why it took me over 1 year to find a clean one. |
