I don't know- I looked through the Crower catalog and almost all their Pontiac cams start with a part number of #6...

I would call Crower and ask him. It may be something that he did custom. At any rate, he'll definitely be able to tell you everything you want to know.

here is the camshaft....
part number 60355 COMPU-PRO /PERFORMANCE LEVEL 5 -Upper mid-range and top end profile for added power above 7000 rpm. RPM Power Range:5200 to 8000 plus. 84360 318FDP 110 ° .591" .579" 324 ° 318 ° 389 455 280 ° 274 ° cut and pasted from crower mag. this is the only pontiac cam made by crower on ebay at the present time. The rpm range is 5200 to 8k. so you would have to have a high revving engine for this cam to be useful. what is your setup??? |

5200 - 8K seems awefully high RPM range. Building mine for top end and dont see it goin much over 6000. I too am interested in your set up. Dont see the 400 spinning that high.

This cam may be an older discontinued crower cam.
I was thinking of putting it in my 400. I may still do that, since I won the ebay bid. It seems like a radical cam to me, along the lines of say the CC292 cam.

May be a little radical...but hey you can always use Rhodes Lifters to tame things a bit.

This past weekend I changed to a smaller solid cam. I get better quarter times with single pattern cams, with under 40 NET duration and under 500 NET lift.
Now this is a street car on passenger tires. Try the cam if you don't like it you can always change it. I like changing cams, I've had 4 cams in my 66 goat. I can't wait to try this one out at the track. |

Since you have e-heads it sounds like a good cam for a street car. If you had unported d-heads I would say it is probably too big. I would put it in. It should run pretty well.

I wonder how it will perform with my 3:55 rear and stock converter? Hmmm... I guess I'll try it and see.

Well I recieved the cam today along with a set of new crane lifters.
Here are the specs: Lobe Separation 110 Intake Centerline 106 Advertised Camshaft Specs: Intake: 304 Lift .500 Exhaust: 312 Lift .522 Duration @ .050 Intake 239 Exhaust 247 Lobe Lift Intake: .333 Exhauset: .348 Looks like a custom grind from Crower Cams. I'm thinking of installing this in place of my Crane HMV272 cam in my 406. 406ci,72cc Eheads ported, performer rpm intake, 750dp holley, 1.65 Crane roller rockers, trw pistons with .990 bbc pins, stock rods, polished, shotpeened with arp bolts, 2 bolt mains, studded.
