thats horribly low im thinking of going to a B&M TORK MASTER 2400, will these be good in a 400 engine, 1 3/4 super comp. headers, performer Intake, and holley 750cfm, and a .490" lift lunati?

i wouldnt waste my money on a b&m converter. I installed a 2400 stall TCI piece of junk and it didnt feel any different than stock.

i have a 23-2500 converter, which is borderline too high for the street. i'll probably go to something around 2000 rpm when i have the tranny rebuilt next month.

A conv built right will be tight on the street still!I use a 10 " 3200 stall from cont, And I drive on the street and race my car at the track all year! ....it drives like a stock one till you nail it..yes it is looser than a stock one ,but if u have used stall conv before you will know that these are very tight! You get what u pay for buy a cheap one now and down the rd probably be rebuilding your tranny besides looking for a new conv...JMO

It All depends what your total combo is and what you want to do with it...if your just streeting it and maybe a race now and then then u dont need a big stall like me...,but i want every possible hundreth i can find thats why i went to this ... The guys that run these cont 10" will all atest to how tight they are

I run a 3800 10 inch converter on the street. Of course I don't get in stop in go traffic. Ive had this loose converter for 4 years with no problems. It's a transking 10p. I wouldn't worry about running a tight 3200 like the continental. I know people running 9inch converters on the street with no problems. I guess it depends on your preference. Sound like the 3200 continental would be a good choice for you. Good luck!

I run a tight 8" cont. converter. It is fine on the street from stoplights. Slow acceleration and it doesn't stall too high, romp on it and you get 4K rpms quick.

wellim at a stock level engine and i bought a turbo 400 off someone and recommends a 2500 stall. the trans was rebuilt and has a transgo shift kit and a deep pan. and the best thing about it was that i only payed $81.00. is a 8" compatible with a stock engine?
