My son is bound and determined to put chrome wheels and wide tires on his 72lemans. Can anyone tell me what size wheels and tires look good on this car? I really don't want to put small on the front and big on the back.

The 72LeMConvt wears 235/60-15s on Rally IIs. If you like, I can email you a picture or two & you can decide...

My 72 conv wears 255/60/15 on 15x8 snowflakes at all four corners. No rubbing and it looks pretty good. I can send pictures if you want.

If your son wants that drag car look, I'd mix and match a bit. I put 235-60-15 on the front and 255-60-15 on the back, all on 15x8 wheels with 4.5" backspacing. It looks great, with just a little bit of rake and healthy meats up front. They fill up the fender wells on my 72 hardtop just perfect.

I have 235/60/15s on the front and 275/60/15 B.F. Goodrich TA raials on American Racing Outlaw IIs. The front are 15x7 and the back are 15x8 No rubbing and they fill the wheel wells nicely on my 72 Lemans Sport.
