I have seen pictures of 70 GTOs with the bullet style sport mirrors. Are these mirrors correct for a '70 as an option?

Thanks

DC

Maybe as a dealer install, as they came out in '71.

I almost bid on these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1835035352

I was going to try to get these for my 70 GTO - they have been listed multiple times , they can't seem to sell them. I managed to find a NOS drivers side remote for mine (you don't want to know what I paid, but it's in damn near perfect condition ).

I took a set of sport mirrors off a late 70 something Firebird and installed them on my LeMans. They fit great on the drivers side. You would never know they weren't original equipment. The passenger side had to have holes drilled because that side had no mirror to start with. They both look great and since this car is built for go rather than show I'm pretty happy with them. They only cost me $10 which was a bonus.

I'm probably going to be proven wrong, but according to the option sheets I have, that sport mirror was not available on the GTO until 1971.
