Finally, I may get to crank my 71 up after 10 years of storage/disassembly. I think I pretty much have the engine issues covered, but what about the transmission. It's a turbo400. What do I need to watch for, if any thing. I have had several opinions on whether or not to change the fluid and filter before I start it up. Thanks

You may need to replace the front and rear seals on the tranny, but I wouldn't do anything just yet. Changing the fluid and filter prior to startup wouldn't be a bad idea, just keep an eye in the front and rear seals for leaks after startup.

Thanks Brian, it made sense to me. I will change it before I fire it up this weekend.
