Ok guy's I need some info and some help on this subject.I'm going to be using a 1968 400 block in my 1979 TA and I know they sell conversion kit's for such a problem ,but I'm gonna be using solid mounts for mine.So what should I do about this?The car is also a standard if it matters.I've done all kinds of motor jobs before but never a nightmare conversion like this one...

There are kits out there to enable you to mount a 2-bolt mount (pre '70) engine into a 2nd gen. F-body, but that's not the problem. The problem is the chassis side mount if you want to go to a solid mount. There isn't one that's specific to a Pontiac that replaces the factory clamshell mount. Moroso makes one for the Camaro that will fit, but it's designed for a Chevy engine and doesn't quite fit right for the Pontiac. If you're good at cutting and welding, this won't be a problem.
