PY has produced a complete line of mandrel bent exhaust pipes and an exclusive PY design X pipe kit along with Dynomax and Goerlich mufflers to offer complete turn-key performance 2 1/2" and 3" mandrel bent exhaust systems for cars with or without headers.

Take a look at our 67 GTO that just got one of the systems installed. 67 GTO exhaust system

Chris:

Please forward me details on a "turn-key" 2 1/2" system for a '72 455HO Firebird. However, since I'm one of the VERY few who desire a single crossflow muffler (for looks and sound), I'm seriously doubting anyone is gonna make a system like that!

Regards (and many thanks),
Lloyd

Just got back from SEMA and made a few very good connections. I expect we can lower prices on systems by quite a bit!

Lloyd, I'm checking into the crossflow muffler for you. The pipes are not the problem. The 2 1/2" performance muffler is.

Chris

I would possibly be interested in a 2.5" mandrel bent system designed to flow through (2) turbo muffs for my '74 SD455 TA. I need the system to go with the excellent 2.5" chrome extensions I got from you.

Chris:

Please keep me informed. Anything you can do would be great! I realize that not many others want to use a crossflow muffler, but I still think they sound GREAT and certainly look better on a F body!

Thanks once again,
Lloyd

I'm seriously interested!

My ideal would be 2.5" true dual with a doctor gas X-pipe and headpipes for the Longbranch manifolds in a 60's F-body. If you had dual exhaust tips in chrome like original as an option, well that's be icing on the cake!

The 2.5" cross flow system is being manufactured as it was the only system I was able to find for my SD. Now if I can just remember who it was? I believe somebody on this board directed me to them last year.

Ross:

I'm curious - has it come back to you yet? Or are you in a continuous "senior moment" like I am ALL the time - LOL?

I have a question for you Chris.
Is it possible to buy 2 1/2" or 3" tailpipes?
I've already got a new 3" system from headers to mufflers in front of the rear axle.
But I still need to get tail pipes from there.

Chris:

My engine is done, and as soon as we dyno it I'm gonna pick it up. When I get my TH400 back then I'm gonna have just about everything ready for my Formula except the exhaust system - any news? Once again, '72 Formula 455HO with SD455 manifolds. I'm desperately looking for a bolt-on 2 1/2" performance exhaust system using a crossflow muffler. I want it to appear mostly stock.

TIA,
Lloyd

Lloyd, We'll have the tailpipes for your application shortly, but both the headpipes and crossflow muffler is further down the road.

What about big car set ups?

Give me a thumbs up, tell me "Nice Car!", but for god's sake, don't call it an Impala.
