I could help you out with some codes. I have available to me formulas of custom BC/CC reds that were matched to true candy's and are very hard to distinguish from the real thing.

That color looks like my '81 TA.

Color code is L77, sometimes called Dark Maple Metallic

I have Art's daughters e/m, linking a site, showing his car in Vegas. She is some artist, check it out. Anyway, it's the only e/m address on him I have. Hope it helps! Ron

Bad10,
Thanks again for the information. Work is currently getting in the way of my hobbie so not much time for the car. Don't go out of your way I was hoping you had some pictures but a sample would be perfect. You had mentioned that you need a silver base is that a color base or just sealer? Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is the first time trying body work and paint. Also on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is this color to paint with 5 being normal.

Thanks Vince

I hope those of you who have been helping him are steering him into a Solid red shade and not a pearl or metalic.First timers should stick with solid colors till they get used to painting. How much of a budget did you set aside for the paint?if its alot you might want to look into House of Kolors Candy Basecoats. It shoots like a normal base but gives that regular candy look.
