Can anyone suggest a good overhaul book or manual or perhaps a web site for a performance rebuild that would include modifications such as air bleed drilling andpower valves and such. Can't find a good carb guy and I seem to be finding more and more that if you want something done right... you know what you have to do!

firechicken, if you are talking Rochester, the Doug Roe book 'Rochester Carburetors' is as good as it gets. Haven't found a book I like on Carter (other than some of the internal Carter documents, which are not to my knowledge available), and don't do Holleys. Jon.

Thanks guys. I guess i didn't mention that I was talking about Q-jets oops! I'll try to locate Doug Roe's book. Can it be purchased online that you know of?

Firechicken, I just got Doug Roe's book for a Christmas present. It has more information
then I will ever be able to understand. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] You won't find one any better.

You can purchase Doug's book at Amazon.com
Its called Rochester Carburetors. Comes up as the first item in a search on Rochester. |
