I am replacing a steering column in 90 GP! Having trouble getting the knuckle back on the rack and pinon from inside the car! Do I have to drop the rack? It seems that I have enough slack to get it on the column but it just won"t slide on! Thanks Tim

try spreading the split in the knuckle.
