Just wondering, I dont have a garage to keep my LeMans in. I just need some ideas...

Find friends with lots o'room! Sometimes you can rent storage units to work out of. Good luck!

Yeah, I've tried. Storage is $50-75 a month. As a college student with payments on a truck and two pontiacs I can't afford storage.
 I was thinking of maybe just stripping the body down one panel at a time and then taking some cheap paint over it just to hold till the paint job. Just wondering if anyone had any better ideas.

I bought one of my current project cars in college also. That was nearly 20 years ago. Somehow I could not find the time to strip the body between calculus and physics classes. After college I couldn't find the time to work on it between diaper changes and baby feedings. But now the kids are old enough to help.
Why strip the paint of it one panel at a time an paint it with cheap paint that will also have to be stripped when you are ready to put a real paint job on it? Sounds like a waste of time to me. Maybe you should buy a decent car cover and store the car outside until you finish you degree. Then you can start your career and buy a house with a garage where you can work on it. Just my opinion. |

I am attending a community college right now and I have an F150 for daily driving. But I talked to a guy who is willing to do all the bodywork and prime the car so I may be in luck.
