Since titanium retainers are twice the price of steel retainers, the question is, are they reallay worth the extra cost ? I understand that they are stronger than steel as well as lighter. Considering I am running a hydraulic cam in a 455 powered Firebird w nitrous at high 10s. Would only the benefit of a lighter retainer justify the extra cost over a heavier steel retainer? I have chrome moly pushrods and aluminum roller rockers. Opinions ?
