I'm planning on running my brake annd fuel lines through my frame rails instead of on the outside. Which would be better to use? Braided or stainless lines?? There wil be brackets to attach the lines to just before and just after the lines enter/exit the frame rails for support.

I would use a Russel type braided line in an 8an. This would allow the flexibility you may need for running through the frame rails.

One thing most people forget is, the more flexible line of ANY type you have, the "softer" your pedal will feel and more travel before peak braking power. We took over 4' of hi-$ s.s. braided teflon line out of a buddy's car, replaced it with cheap steel, and cut his pedal travel in HALF!!!-Bob.

I did not read the initial post very well. I was suggesting braided 8AN for fuel line not brake line. For brakes you should use steel or stainless all the way to the flex fittings. Sorry about that.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking after doing a little more research. Makes sense not to have too much "flex" line for your brakes. The way things are set up now I should be able to work solid lines through my frame then use flex lines to the calipers. Need to find a place to get a coil of stainless tube to custom make my brake lines since I'm not useing stock master cylinder or booster.
Will use 8AN braided for my fuel lines. Thanks for the suggestions.

Earls super stock hose with push lock fittings is a MUCH better way to go than braided fuel line. As a matter of fact, I dont think the braided line will pass an inspection at a NHRA drag strip.
