I accidently posted this under the race section a few weeks ago and got alot of responses. I don't know if it makes a big difference if we are talking about a strip car or street car but here goes. I am putting a 455 in my FB. I am thinking about installing a gear drive in it, but after some of the responses I got under the race section I don't know. The car will not be a race car, maybe an occasional trip to the local strip, but mostly a cruiser. I just want to know if everyone feels the same about a gear drive in a street car. Thanks for any help!

Steve, rest assured that all 45 of the responses you received will apply to your street car.

Steve, If you want the ultimate, street or strip, get a Roll Master chain.

Ditto on the Rollmaster. It is a fine peice, 9 keyway sprocket for cam adjustment, steel sprockets, a real roller chain with seamless rollers, not some low cost split seam non rolling variety. Worth every penny in my opinion, all engines that leave here get them. They even have versions for line honed blocks.....Cliff
