Correct...I believe the bolt pattern is actually metric. They aren't going to fit much of anything made in America.

The new GTO's bolt pattern is 120x5mm. The old school Pontiacs are 120.6x5mm. I have fit 120.6x5mm wheels on an 04 GTO with no problems. You realize the difference is a width of a hair right? The debate is on, but it's been done.

They are a different bolt circle, and the general consensus is that eventually, they will cause the studs to break due to the constant stress of being pulled (outwards) on the old cars. Another problem would probably be the offset required to fit the new GTO's. It's a 17X8 wheel with a 48mm offset. The bolt pattern on the new goat is 120 mm, and the old ones are actually 120.65.mm or 4.75". This has been discussed ad infinitum on the LS1GTO forum.
