I'm trying to run a diecent dyno sim of my engine. I have '70 #64 455HO heads, They've had a mild port/polish done to them to clean up the port's. Anyone have flow #'s or approximation's I could use for Dynosim2000?

about 240 cfm on the int.

Remember these are regular D-port heads.
I would guess 200cfm, give or take 5cfm. |

i found these numbers online a while back, no idea how accurate they are, 148cfm at .400 lift and 153cfm at .500 lift on the intake, and 111cfm at .400 lift and 120cfm at .500 lift on the exhaust. stock heads with .211 and .177 valves

yup I know they are d-ports but he says that they have some porting done, if done wright you can get 240 cfm with just bowl work, but I'll admit I'm on the hi side

I guess I'll have to find someone with a flowbenck LOL. 153/120 seem's a little low given the runner shape/size and comparing it to other's with more flow I have some ported 6X data that I have been using in my dyno prog, 244/150 @ .500 Guess they probibally are pretty close to them, given that they were 455HO heads

I had some nice port work done to my 64's. There was alot left in mine also, just need more cake to finish. Here is what mine flowed: intake exhaust .100 74.4 55.3 .200 125.2 105.4 .300 181.6 131.3 .400 213.7 150.3 .500 216.3 162.7 .600 218.4 171.9 Sorry for the crowded text, it's not how I wrote it. The 64's really didn't flow that well compared to some other castings. If you could see the work I had done you would think the numbers should be higher. The machinest who did my heads does incredible work, he really knows how to get alot out of d ports, so the better they flow from the beginning the better the potential. John |
