I have a 65 Cat with vent windows. I'm looking for a good quality vent window lock. I have noticed some with a round knob and others with a triangle knob which is better or does it matter?

Dont use the triangles, they are known to cause transmission damage.

And I have heard that if the round ones are not perfect that it can damage the brass in the muffler bearings.

If you use the round ones - they won't hurt your muffler bearings....but, they will cause serious damage to your hi-compression hub caps.

Trim Parts they're in every magazine. I used them on my 67 GTO and they fit and resealed to the new frame gaskets .They were the rounded style.

From a locksmith's point of view, I can reach in from the outside of the car with a thin piece of flat steel and unscrew the triangular ones a lot easier than the round locks. I think round ones are probably a little more secure.
