There are 3 common sizes, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16. The 1/8 are a copper color,5/32 are black, and the 3/16 are gold.For the 1/8 use a no. 30 drill bit, but a 1/8 will work.

they are spring loaded holding devices that are used in panel replacement. Please don't buy them from eastwood or such. I bought some from an airplane builders website. I got , for $10, what wouold have cost $25 or more from Eastwood.

6t7,
Here's a picture of the cleco's...I have the brass ones so a #30 bit will be in order. Thanks for the info. Anthony Pete, I will I knew before I bought these from Eastwood. Oh well.

like I said, they are spring loaded. ZThey go into a drilled hole ( through both panels ) and hole them together just like a sheetmetal screw would do. But they are easily installed and removed.

If you buy these from places like Eastwood they are expensive. You can buy them more cheaply off E-bay. They are used, but in good condition. Mostly surplus tools.
