Ive got a th350 transmission that has been just rebuilt with a shifter kit and new torque converter. I'm having it installed and want to buy the fluid. How many quarts should I grab?
I was also going to go with B&M trick fluid and was wondering wheres the cheapest I can find it? Should I do half regular fluid and half B&M to save money? Thanks all!!

If you are running a 12 inch convertor, it will generally take 10 quarts to fill. I run a 10 inch convertor and it usually takes 8.5 quarts.

Geodude---I paid the local trainny guy ........$425!! I got a rebuilt TH350, new convertor (stock stall),new fill tube,B&M shift kit with 1 year warranty and he had the trainny to start with. Hes been in business for over 15 years rebuilding them. I looked on Ebay fo awhile as well as local places. Do a search for posts on the subject here to see what is recommended then ask each builder what they will do and include for the price. I could have gotten a TH400 but for my application,I would have spent more to accomodate it. He also assured me that if I put in a V8 400 that I'd have no problems.
Jim L--thanks for the info on amount needed. I now have to see if I can mix the two types or find the good stuff cheap. "I've got the fastest looking car standing!"
