Depending on the year - '63 & '64 would be easier to remove dashpad. '66, & I believe '65, you must remove wipers, cowl etc. to get the pad off. '66 has a spring clip on the back of the gauge. This is relatively easily released & removed by pushing a slim flat blade screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the guage & pushing the gauge upwards towards the dashpad. Then you can put a smaller still flatblade into the clip that holds the bulb into the back of the gauge & pry it out.
