Default SRS Pistons?

Anyone have any experience with the SRS piston brand? lately, i have been seen alot of them for sale on ebay, with a decent price tag. I got an email reply saying they are made from the same material and are very similar to SRP's, which i know are good, and am planning on using in my 455 build, but if the srs's are as good, i wouldn't mind saving some money. Thanks

The very reason that there are SRS pistons (for a Pontiac) is Ken Brewer of Pacific Performance Racing. It was at Ken’s urging that they decided to make pistons for Pontiac…and only if Ken would take a large inventory.

These are an outstanding piston and the 455 +.030 only weighs 500 grams.

They are $455 and include lightweight wrist pins.

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm glad to hear that these are good pistons. They are about 399.00 on ebay, which is about 100 less than the srp's. so it sounds like this is a good piston and a quality buy.

Yes, the SRS Pistons are a high quality product. Unfortunately you have come across yet another internet only merchant with no product background that is preying on the Pontiac crowd.

As with many of these sellers, they know little of the product they just think if they can set a low, low price. They hope that with a $5 profit they can make it up on volume.

And more importantly…they have no inventory of parts, think that because it is in a catalog that it is available and offer little customer service.

This Ebay seller has NO Pontiac pistons. Why, because PPR owns all the inventory of Pontiac SRS Pistons.

Buy them from the guy that made it happen…Pacific Performance Racing, 310-832-4596.

Just out of curiosity what are they listing and where did they get SRS pistons if that's what they are. If not they need to be reported to ebay..

He is no different from a host of Ebay sellers. They list the product and hope the supplier will drop ship if they get an order.

The manufacturere has already had a discussion with this vendor. Enough said.
