Is there anything that goes between the dash bezel and the walnut decal. I know there was a metal panel on the console that seem to make a nice job. Thanks

I've never seen any in between plate on a 67, just the vinyl woodgrain piece glued to the bezel.

all the 67 woodgrains I have removed from bezels were vinyl with a thick (1/16") backing. Not sure what material but none of them were metal.

To further verify this, i just pulled one off a '67 GTO dash that I am having replated. There was no metal backing.

I don't have the walnut backing on my dash and the only metal I see is the small strip around the gauge holes, nothing else
