Wow didn't realize we were practicly neighbors. Will you be producing the long fin varient for later years or only the short fin? I have a full set of hubs for my '67 but really would want them relined before driving on them. Sounds like a new set would do as well.

Hello Harry...we ARE practically neighboors.
The 65-68 long-finned version of the 8 lug will be available first. Initially the time table had prototypes available late summer/early fall of this year but the turn-around is taking considerably longer. I'm shooting for Spring of '06. Any plans to offer 15" 8-lug wheels? I always tell anyone who will listen that the Pontiac 8-lug is the finest looking wheel any factory ever made. So... for my '59 GMC project (with up-to-date '58 Tri-power engine and Hydrostick) I envisioned 8-lug wheels- until I learned that they were all 14". So I'd be very interested in availability of 15" 8-lugs. I have yet to investigate how I'd fit them to the GMC, but I'm sure there's a way. What are the brake dimensions of them? There is a company offering 15 and I believe 16 inch rims to fit the 8-lug hubs. I saw a set at a car show this summer and was impressed with the finish of the pieces. They are chrome so they look OK, they kinda have a Buick feel to them. -harry

15 & 16" 8 lug wheels
I remember a post from PITTSBURGH 64, JEFF, that there was a balance problem with the 15" 8 lug wheels. I don't know if this was an early production problem which may have been resolved since, but check with Jeff first.
I would also like to get a set of 15" or 16" wheels to get a bigger tire than what is currently available in 14" but I wanted to wait untill there was enough positive feedback Ron

ponchopio, any idea on pricing? I assume the fronts will be more expensive do to the hub and extra machine work required.

Bob Lundwall does the 15" 8 lug wheels and they are gorgeous. I know he was working with another company to offer them in thier product line so BOP Engineering must be it. I was unaware of any balancing issues with the 15" wheels but that doesn't mean there weren't any. I would bet that balancing issue had more to do with the drums they were mounted on. The quality of Bob's wheels is amazing.
I don't want to throw any pricing out there on the new drums until I've gotten through the production, machining and testing process but should have the ability to put a figure out there by the end of the year. John Piotrowski |

Will the BOP 15" wheels bolt right onto the original-dimension drums? What about the trim rings?

The 15" wheels bolt right up to the original drums. They fit perfectly. Saw at last a half dozen show cars at POCI wearing them in SC at the convention this year. John
