A quick question from the uninformed.... I need to install my inside door handles (latch release levers) and I have the handles, the little clips that go on the handles and those plastic circle things. I was told you just push them on and the clips will just lock in place but it seems to me that those clips will get bent up. I know there is a tool for removing those clips, is there some trick to installing those inside handles? Havent tried yet but dont want to bend the clips. Thanks in advance.

Don't sweat the clips; they're springs. All they'll do is move out enough to slide over the shaft, then pop back into the groove behind the teeth/splines. Just make sure that you have the handles lined up in the proper position before you push them on. Oh yeah...notice that the plastic washers aren't perfectly flat. The bulging portion goes into the hole in the door panel. Then the handle will ride flat on the opposite face. Have fun.

Thanks for the reply. I figured thats how they went but I just wanted to hear it from somebody else (and I didnt want to bend up those pins).

Get the tool, it's not expensive. When you use it, you'll smack yourself about how easy it is with the right tool.
