Default Any other Starlight Black 70's out there?

I have a friend who is the second owner of a RAIII Starlight Black 70 Judge. He is looking for any other documented Black 1970 Judges out there. If anyone has a ballpark number on how many black 70 judges, that would be cool too.

Thanks,
Mike

Take this with a grain of salt, but I've seen numbers advertised that there were approximately 125 Starlight Black '70 judges built, and approximately 15 Starlight Black Judge convertables built. I've also got a '70 Starlight Black Judge. It's a fairly loaded RA III auto.

I have a friend here in town with one,RA III,auto car.

Was a real stripped down car originally, beyond being a judge it had almost no options other than automatic trans with the bucket seats/console.

Was in the big little GTO book a LOOONNNGGG time ago, needs a TON of work now (like frame off for starters).

Has a bit of a morbid history with the car and the owner from the period it was in that book,I'll refrain from the details on that here though,my friend has had it for at least the last 20 years or more.

Was a stunning car in its heyday, just been "let go" by its owner, kinda a shame, but what can another person do,its his car...

No idea what fate is in store for that one,but I've tried to get him to do something with it,either fix it or sell it and get another car,but it's like talking to a wall,so I've basically given up trying to talk any common sense into him.

Anyhow I digress.

Default Black Judges

We have two '70 black Ram IV Judges. One has a red interior, the other a black interior. An interesting side note to the black on black car is that it came from the factory with pink stripes.

I know of one '70 Starlight Black Judge RA III 4 spd with all original components and very nice #2 condition around here. Talked to the owner last summer and car was for sale. I didn't have the funds or space to add another car at the time so it may be already sold by now. If anyone wants his info email me.

I also saw a '70 Starlight Black Judge RA III auto sitting outside a truck bed liner installation business in Blaine, MN back in 1999. Motor and trans were out of the car and owner said he had them at home. Black interior needed some TLC but pretty clean car. He wanted $15,000 for it - again no money or space. Car was gone a few months after I talked to him.

I sent a PM to the first 5 who replied. I think that is enough for now. Owner will be getting bombarded with calls otherwise.
