engine color 67 firebird
What is the correct engine color for a 1967 firebird 326? Thanks Lee

I thought it was Pontiac Metallic Blue?

According to my book it says that in 67 the factory color was called Pontiac Blue Poly. When I painted my engine, I used GM Blue #DE1608 by Dupli - color. It looks close to the factory color.

Pontiac Blue Metallic is correct for 1967.I use Plasti-Kote #227.

I used the same as Doug. Plasticote 227. I hear that Hirsch paint is very good but mine turned out ok.

Thanks for the help, guys. I stopped at Lee's shop the other day and saw the engine repainted in the correct color and the engine bay getting detailed. Man, this car is gonna look nice. I'll post a couple shots here once its fully assembled. BTW, it's a 67 F-bird convertible, red with a black top. Lee's restoring it for the local Fire Chief, who has owned it since he was 16.
