Has anyone tried 0000 steel wool on windows. I have some old haze/road grime, etc that will not come off with normal cleanes. I tried a little spot with some cleaner wax and 0000 steel wool and it came right off. Will this scratch the glass??? Ideas? Also, is it safe to use on the "chrome" trim peices around the wondows? Thx

I have used steel wool to remove overspray from windows and to polish chrome. A crumpled newspaper works well for cleaning glass also.

I've used 0000 steel wool for years (old body shop trick).
But Do not use it on mirrors or polished metal, (like your trim) as it WILL leave small scratches. Glass and actual chrome are safe, though. Leon.
