I want to remove the smog pump on my 301 was wandering if anyone has done this?, I know there is going to be holes left that im going to have to plug. Can someone help me out with this? And what else might I encounter while doing this?

I did this on a 403 Olds once. I just removed the pump and brackets then connected the two hoses that went to the pump together. I don't know if I benefited from it performance wise, but that configuration didn't appear to hurt anything.
