I have used Car-Go-Ship before. They are a broker who can get you the best deal if your not in a hurry. I had a non-operative car shipped from New York to Mpls last winter for $800.

Call Valerie at 800-939-7039 for a quote. Good luck.

I used Reliable Carriers to transport a GTO from San Diego to Florida just before the holidays. I had the car in a week and it cost me $1,420.
I won't use anyone else...

DAS has always had competitive pricing and decent service.

Reliable is one of the the elite carriers in the US and I think Jim was looking for a bargain.

Car-Go-Ship.com new phone is 1-877-773-9278.

You can also check out Yesterdays Tractors.com for haulers posting for work. Maybe get lucky there.

GTO JOHN, FWIW, I contacted probably 12 different carriers and they were all within $100 of each other...I agree Reliable is probably an elite carrier but they were in the middle of the pack price wise.

Wow prices sure have jumped then. The last time I needed a move they were quoting $950 from Los Angeles to Minneapolis back in September 2005. I just assumed Reliable was high because $1420 seemed way out there, but that move was coast to coast too. Just proves everyone should call around first.
