I have a 74 Espirit and im not worried about keeping everything original but i do want everything to look and sound good.. im a music enthusiast so two 4 inch speakers in the middle with some tweeters arent gonna cut it for the front...

so i was wondering if anyone here has done/had any custon work and put 6" speakers in their panels?

im getting my system put in at a local shop and they were saying the big pocket on the door panel really messes things up and to do a quality job thats gonna last and look good it would cost 500$ just to do all fiberglassing and detailing to make it look stock...

another option would be to buy the bottom door panels with no pockets.. i highly doubt these are made but has anyone seen anybody that makes them?

any help would be greatly appreciated......

i about to do the same thing. i have 5" speaker to put and i don't know how to do it. i want to make a good jod too. i have already bought a set of lower door panel. i don' t want to do bad thing on my original ones.
