Is the fan shroud from a 78TA the same as a 75? If its not will it fit?

I'm not positive but I would say yes they are the same.

fan shroud are the same since 70 untill 1976 for sure. after, i know there were some different, but i don't know exactly when it change. maybe 1979

I have a fan shroud from a 79 for my 75 and they match up identically.

The fan shrouds were the same from 70-81.

Pontiac V8 fan shrouds are interchangeable from 1970-81 but there are several revisions. Around the middle 70's a removable lower section(attached with plastic trees) was added to make it easier to access the crankshaft dampener bolt from underneath the car. Then when the 265/301 Pontiac engines became available in the Firebird(1979?) there was a square hole added on the top left for a support bracket used on the overflow water bottle.
