I started recovering the seats and I have the front Bucket Back material on but it does not have a contour. Where the sides stick out a little further than the back. How do I get this appearance on the seat?

There are two sewn seams in the new cover running vertically that should have a wire or cord that must be pulled through and hog ringed at the space between the flat back and the side bolster foam. You have to push it down into the space and find the location of the previous cover attachment points. Pulling it tight is what gives it the contour. Hopefully you have the other seat not yet stripped and you can see how its done. Good luck , Rob

Thanks, Now I see my error, the old seat did not have this feature they were ugly fabric and just flat across the back.

Do I cut the cushion to to push the attaching fabric through? Do I attach it to springs in the cushion or does it go to the frame?

You shouldn't have to cut the foam unless the previous upholsterer used a solid piece, in that case you will need to replace the foam with the correct shaped foam available from our host. I have used standard 1/2 to 3/4" foam to beef up the existing foam but only on original correctly shaped foam. If you look from the backside of the seat sometimes you can see the old hogrings or puncture marks from them which will give you the location of the correct place to attach. They should be on a vertical wire running between the existing springs, the tucked sections attach here and not to the frame. Get a good light and look closely and you should be able to find them.
