Default deck height question

on my 428 block i test fit my pistons and at tdc i have about .025 clearance between top of piston and top of block... However my cylinders have a slight chamfer at the top of each and the piston comes right to the bottom of the chamfer. Is this normal? correct? Will I lose HP? I have 75cc #62 heads, so im a little worred about compression. Will this compensate?

You should check the exact deck height with a drop indicator.

That way you'll know where the piston stops traveling and you can move it over to the deck and see what the height is for sure.

Don't worry so much about you CR as more importantly you need proper squish!

You really want the pistions as close as zero deck as you can get to maintain proper squish pad area and you do not want combustion to occour down in the cyliner bores as this will cause heating issues and detionation.
