Exhaust system size
What would be considered proper exhaust size(s)for my application?I was @ the local muffler shop and this issue came up.The tech informed me that a complete 3"(from collector to tail pipes) would support 1000 hp regardless of engine brand.I presently have 3 1/2 from collector to one chamber dynamax turned down in front of axles which causes alot of compartment noise. This engine produces approx 700hp(@ flywheel)(462, 310 eheads,1050 dominator,270/281@ 0.050 approx .700 lift with 1.65's, 1 3/4 headman hussler and 3 " collector).Plans are for a complete 3" mandrel bent to either 14/18" xlerator mufflers,3" tail pipes.Would like to hear some recommendations before going forward.

3" mandrel bent duals should be fine for your combo.

There are some guys running a mixed sizes on the exhaust and they say it works very well. Try asking in the race section.
