Default Turbocharging a 1978 pontiac 400

Does anybody know where i can get a good turbocharger to put on a 1978 pontiac 400? Also, how effective will that be and how much modding do i have to do. On a side note, does anybody know how many miles per gallon a stock 1978 TA with a 400 ci Pontiac and a 400 transmission should get?

Not a turbo, but another alternative. Complete kits ready to go.

How much power do you want?

I can help with turbo selection and manifolds.

Here's a picture of my 848 rwhp Pontiac 462.

might not want to build a turbo engine based on a 78 block. There are a couple threads on here showing late blocks missing chunks of the main webbing. Earlier than 74 blocks are supposed to be thicker and or stronger.

Good luck with the turbo, post pics when its done.
