I ordered and recived the lower windhsield patch to help me fix the rot in my 68 Tempest. When I got the piece I saw there were 2 ears on each end that seem to want to point toward the rear of the car. I am confuesed about how this patch should fit. I have read that this is a common spot for rot in these cars and I was wondering in someone had some pictures of a repair in a 68 or 69 car that they could post for me. Thanks in advance

I have the same part and I believe it was made for a Chevelle. I am planning on trimming the ears off and fitting the piece in. I had so much rust damage that I will have to add a couple filler pieces to the bottom. I got mine from The Parts Place, after a 2 month backorder.

i got my panel from Ames Performance, another classic pontiac parts distributor. It did have a sticker right on it that said it was for a chevelle. Youve got a good idea though, it looks alot better without the ears. I plan to cut them off and start fitting tomorow. Thanks

i dont think it will work for me, i have more rust on my upper cowl area than my windshield channel, i think i will need to replace both.
