I hope he gets things up and running. I still want a set for the LeMans!

Well it's been a couple weeks since we heard from Ron. Does anybody have any word or product? My car looks so forlorn sitting there unable to start without anything bolted to the heads.
Progress report, please! |

I'm not surprised, with the holiday and all. Give Ron a couple more days, and I'm sure we'll hear something.

Ron was able to get there yesterday and now there are several sets of coated round port headers on their way to patiently awaiting customers. The D-ports will be on their way soon. Keep this in mind guys, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. At one point during all of this, I considered cancelling my order and giving Ron a piece of my mind (as many have done), but instead, I decided to use honey instead of vinegar. In doing that, I gained a friend, and a profound respect for Ron, and what he is trying to accomplish. He has remained in contact with me because he sensed that I did not automatically think he was lying to me when he had bad news due to the many delays and problems that he has encountered along the way. I am now being rewarded for my patience, and my faith in Ron to be a man of his word, as will everyone of you that have been patiently waiting along with me. Here is a photo of my headers (photo possible due to the generosity of a PY member that gave Ron an old digital camera he had) sitting on Ron's mother's couch just minutes before being packed up and brought to UPS for shipping, along with the shipping confirmation email . I have also included the emailed installation instructions that Ron sends to every customer to show how concerned Ron is that they are installed correctly and to help avoid any problems. I attached it as a Word document. John

John,
Good for you, you will like the headers, they are very nice. On my 76 T/A the driver side header went right up in, didn't have to remove anything, the pass side i removed the oil filter and adapter and if i remember right i jacked the motor up on the pass side 1/2" to 1" so i could slide the header up under that fat Edelbrock head. My car was on ramps and i had the headers all bolted to the engine in about 45 minutes by myself. I wrapped an old blanket around the headers so i didn't scratch them up while installing them.

That is great, let us know when you get them. I am looking forward to getting mine. Still haven't heard from anyone who has actually gotten headers.

I would also like to know how well they actually fit. Access to the bolts rear of the 3rd tubes especially. I just removed my Super Comps from the GTO last night, wouldn't mind selling them and upgrading to something that will fit better.
I'm not willing to pay and wait 1 year + though, maybe I will wait until they are more available. Gary

FWIW, several more sets of headers would have been shipped if not for the actions of one of our members here, who will remain nameless for the time being, who decided to cancel his order and do a charge back through PayPal. This has caused Ron, yet again, another financial setback. Keep in mind that this member, you know who you are, lives fairly close to Ron, and was notified that his headers were ready to picked up. Ron even offered to deliver them and help install them! Instead he changed his mind after a long wait.
It is understandable that after waiting for over a year, someone might decide to get a different set of headers. It may even be understandable to not believe that Ron was sincere in saying that his headers were ready, but all Ron asked of him was to not charge back his payment through PayPal. Ron told him he would give him a cash refund ASAP, but no, that wasn't enough. He had to try and teach Ron a lesson. He has been quoted as having to want to damage Ron's credit rating, well congratulations, you may have gotten your wish! So now all that this member has done, besides boning a fellow Pontiac guy, is cause Ron to not be able to receive any payments for headers through his PayPal account. Ron is living from hand to mouth at this point, and this crap is killing him, right when he was starting to make some significant progress! The transaction in question is so old that it is outside of the window that PayPal allows for a charge back, but Ron's account has been frozen while PayPal investigates. This has done nothing but slow things down for everybody else who has been patiently waiting, and supporting Ron's efforts to create a distinctly unique product that is so desperately needed for the Pontiac community. I'll get off my soap box now. Thanks to those of you who have been so patient. You will be rewarded for your faith in Ron. It is not misplaced, I assure you. John

I stand corrected then, Ron is a stand up guy. He sent one guy his headers after one and a half years, I can't believe I ever doubted him.
![]() Be sure and post some pics and tell us how they fit and perform. At least lift our spirits a little. |

Mike, I wouldn't get to worked up about that comment. If we ever get headers, it will be a straight up pure miracle. It would take alot more than just paypal to derail that trainwreck. If you had talked to Ron as much as I have and you had heard all the crazy, insane stuff that Ron has had happened to him in the last 3 years, you would think the paypal thing was a joke. He is like the guy you hear about who has been struck by lightening like 362 times. Paypal is the last thing on his mind.

John,
I have already been where you are. Look back at the forums, when I was the guy relaying bits of information that I could get from Ron to the Forum to try and ease peoples minds about the headers. This went on for about 8 to 10 months until Ron stopped communicating. Honey or no honey. After a couple of more months of silence, my honey ran out. I hope you get your headers and all is well, but it doesn't have anything to do with honey if you do, cause I been there done that. |

Gearbanger, I do appreciate how long suffering you have been, I really do. There was a point before I got to know Ron that I was ready to pull the plug. I decided not to. I don't really know why, other than I just felt that Ron would, in the end, make this all work. I still believe that.
I will have my headers tomorrow, barring them getting burned up in a fiery UPS truck accident. Hey, with the way things have gone so far, it probably wouldn't surprise anyone. Keep the faith man. Ron has spoken of you to me, and wants to make things right. I want you to get headers too. One day soon they will be on your door step. Peace. John
