Default Judge on ebay

Isn't this block restamped with the block code and vin? It looks like you can see the grind marks all over these areas?

There's two different markings in those pictures. One is the factory machine markings, the other is a wire brush to clear paint and grime away to read the stampings, I would say definitely not a restamp.

The seller is a numbers fanatic and it looks legit to me.

That's one of Jim Sanny's cars. He's a retired USMC Lieutenant Colonel who works in the DC area and does restorations on the side. Great guy; met him in person - he bought some parts from me recently. I'm sure his stuff is as advertised.

Car has been on e bay a few times in the past year, I think. He gave me a price for the car several months ago, but I wasn't interested and forgot what he priced it at.

I will just say "no comment" regarding the seller.

I think the fact that the block has 8 sleeves in it is probably making potential buyers a bit nervous.

Sleeves in motors for stock applications are not a bid deal. If done correctly.
Having the #s block added considerable value to the car.

Better to disclose this fact then not, and he did.

Still curious why this car did not sell (when market was hot) for more than what it went to.

Id buy it, no problem (if I was looking)
