a freind of mine got this chrome in the trunk of a 64 gto parts car. i got it from him because we both thought it was for a 66 gto. its not. the line at the top is like a 66 gto but the line at the front and back are diffrent. i thought it must be for a big car possibly 65 or 66. let me know if you can help

Really hard to tell from the pix but could it be the A pillar cover ? Is it chrome or like brushed aluminum ?

i know the pic isnt that good. its hard to take a good one, that one took three tries. im pretty sure its lower behind the rear wheel chrome. the top is shaped the same ( or almost) as a 66 goat. but the angle at ther front is different, the screw holes in them look to me like they belong there.
thanks for looking bryamn |

I think it goes on the inside, by the windhield. It looks 1964 big car. I'll try to snap a pic this weekend. I have some in the shed.
Good luck, Greg |

It's a rear rocker molding (behind the wheel opening) for a '64 Catalina. Left side and right side are mirror images of each other. From the picture, it looks to be the left side.

ok i looked when i was at norwalk there was a 64 gp for sale on a trailer. it matched up perfectly. after talking to a guy who owned a gp he said his didnt have chrome behind the wheels. so i think a 64 catalina is what it is from. anyone have a 64 gp? if so do you have chrome behind the rear wheels?
thanks bryan |

Nothing like that on my 64 GP. The sculpture lines are identical to the rocker moldings on my 64, though. I'm inclined to agree with 64cat in that they are for a 64 Catlalina.

Nothing rear of the wheels on my 64 GP. I think the Catalina sounds like a fit.
