Default What does a functioning 67 dual gate shifter look like?? Did I get ripped off?

I bought this on eBay--I will take pics and post if necessary, but just let me describe what concerns me:

1) the plane of the shifter lever is not parallel to the sides of the shifter. Is this normal? It does seem to move freely...

2) the background color of the shift position indicator glass is some unexpected light blue...it that correct?

3) OK now what else do I need to buy--shifter cable I know, do I have to buy the console base if I don't have a console yet but want to mount the shifter?

Thanks for everything.

I would need to see it to tell you if it is a 67 h/h shifter. The 68 h/h shifter is a little different I believe. You can also go to google.com and search for web pics. I'm sure you'll get plenty of hits to compare it to yours. If the shifter is fully intact, you don't need the console to mount it since it bolts directly to the floor.
