im not gonna be getting around to my car as soon as id like. i found out my girlfriend of 2 1/2 years is expecting. now that the car is on the back burner how should i store the heads ? i have them in 2 trash bags per head with some oil in the bags to prevent rust. but they are assembled. should i tear them down ?

well i should have been more clear i have a intake, set of heads (completely assembled), roller rockers, double roller timing chain, headers, HEI, aluminum flywheel, and some other stuff sitting in a plastic storage bin and i did the trash bags with oil on the heads to try to prevent rust im not sure if the heads sitting aroudn woudl hurt the springs or not. someone told me to take the heads apart. thanks for the congrats. if its a boy ill raise him right ( a pontiac fan that hates imports or pony cars ) if its a girl im gonna tear my hair out.

FWIW I bought a couple of cans of spray grease to put on stuff like that. It sprays on light and thickens up. Most auto parts stores have it. My Dad used to sell Archer Oil and we coated stuff around the farm with it for storage. The stuff at the auto parts store is not as thick but it does leave a nice coating on items that I have in storage.
