Default From 350 Poncho to 403 Olds in 1974 Firebird

I am considering dropping an Olds 403 in my 1974 Firebird. Availablity is driving the thpouht. Here are my questions.

1. Would this be a direct swap into a 1974 Firebird
2. Does the Olds Motor have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the Pontiac Motor?
3. Would the later Firebird 403 mounts work just fine for this?

It SHOULD be a fairly simple swap,as long as you have a 79T/A (403) donor car for motor mounts,P/S & alt.brackets.etc.
You will likely need the Olds mount pads on the crossmember.(they can be had new) for reasonable price)
BOP (buick,Olds,Pontiac) transmissions from that era ALL used the same block mounting pattern.
The Pontiac engine harness should work with the Olds motor.
Front exhaust pipes will need to be modified.
Have fun!
