I have a set of hooker headers, threre not ceramic coated. Are there places that can coat them,I ran them on my car for about a year. The black paint has worn off.

there are places that will do it but it is not cheap. you may be better off investing in a new set that is already coated.

If I were to just re-paint them is there a good durable paint to use on them.I once used Eastwoods High temp paint and it didn't work to bad.

imo all paints will eventually wear off or rust through. i know of guys that have had their headers "jet coated" and they maintain a shiny almost polished aluminum look.

HPC did my headers. They have an additional charge for sandblasting but since my headers were not rusted, they didn't charge me. The headers came out okay but the finish is a little rougher that I would have liked but I did it more for the protection anyway. Cost was $220 shipped.

Don't buy ceramic headers! Buy un-coated and send to Jet-Hot! It's well worth the money. Assembly line coated headers aren't worth the cost.
I sandblasted my hooker supercomps and sprayed with POR-15 high heat paint. Still look great.

I use Airborn Coatings and they look fantastic. Check out their website. Much more competitive on price over JET HOT.......they have to sponsor John Force you know.

Depending on where you're located, Thermal Tech in Hopewell, VA is the best we've ever seen. Yes, better than Swain OR Jet Hot. They have a "cleaning charge" for used headers. After 5 years of dirt-track racing, they still look great. A true "thermal barrier", too, not the ceramic look-alike.
