Is it a race car or street car?

More than likely the MPH will be roughly the same maybe higher.

Most of the time when ya spin the mph will be higher. The better ya hook with a optimum chassis the lower the mph.

A low MPH and a low ET means the car hooks good.
What's your 60ft. times?
Usually when you spin you'll MPH good but your et will be crappy.

In my "vast" experience, lol, better 60', better et and mph.

Default Hooking better is part...

In my Ventura I was netting a 106.54 MPH, with a 60' in the 1.997 range, ET12.991. After swapping the gears from 3.70 to 4.30 I was running between 104.78 to 105.5 MPH, with a 60' 1.864 to 1.90 range, and ET 12.60

We were worried the lower gear would cause alot more MPH but it actually helped the 60', lowered the MPH, and did raise the RPM from 5000-5100 to around 5600-5700 at the finish line. See the raise in RPM was way less than most people predicted. JD

Good luck to the new owner of the Ventura II! Sold the car after 13+ years. Look for it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in the future as it's currently being re-configured as a Pro-Touring ride!
