If the dish is done right, so that it mirrors the shape of the combustion chamber, you have a very ideal setup. Good quench can be maintained using this method, as opposed to just using a big round dish.

At that point however, you've probably spent the cash to just go with a different set of heads, and not have to tear down the short block to replace pistons.
Since we're talking about a limited budget, changing the heads it going to be the best option.

455 4x(treat to a good valve job and springs, mill them .060") 2802 summit cam headers. Find traction. You will have fun on cheap gas too!
