Default Rex Racing?

Has anyone ever used Rex Racing in Philadelphia? Do they do good work? Good prices? Reputation? Turnaround time? Thanks

Never used Scott Rex's services, but FWIW, he is a man of good character and would never hang his name on a POS or leave a customer in the lurch.

Have you ever used them or know anyone who has? I emailed him and he responded quickly with good prices...problem is I live in Pittsburgh. I figure if I can't find anyone close and I have to drive several hours I might as well use someone with a good Pontiac tradition like Spotts, Taylor, etc. Any input on Pittsburgh area shops?

Rex is a pontiac tradition! he has built and currently has the fastest naturally asperated pontiac in the country I havent used him either but if I could afford him and lived near him he would be at the top of the list. there are a few others as well but he is definetly one of the best

Rex runs an IA-2 combo (572 cubic inches). You couldn't get a factory block to live under the power he makes, and at the RPM he makes it at, let alone get it anywhere near 572 cubic inches. He's been 7.50's

You could use DCI ( Don Johnston ) 330-628-3354. He is in Akron Ohio about 2 hours from you. He is the designer of the Tiger Head that Rex runs on his car.
Like any other good Pontaic engine builder you will need to get in line.

Thanks for the replys. I am checking and will be emailing several different builders to see who I can afford, turnaround time, and what their suggestions are for my engine.

I would also suggest DCI. Don is a great person to deal with and he will do it right.
