What's wrong with that Trans Am? Do they have bags on concrete in the trunk? Every picture has the front end up and the rear end squatting down.

Those were my thoughts EXACTLY,when I first saw those T/A pics.

Here's the story; The T/A's front spoilers were installed on the assembly line & to avoid damaging them during transport, the front suspension had temporary blocks/shims installed to allow for MORE front end ground clearance.
These were removed at the dealer when PDI was done.

The FOUR Brand New Birds were likely PDI's before the photo shoot but the T/A's front suspenion was left shimmed for the auto transporter trip to New Orleans & whoever was there from Pontiac (at the shoot) obviously had NO IDEA they were supposed to be removed!

That's the piece of literature that SHOULD have been the 1970 Firebird showroom brochure!

I noticed that the Trans Am had trim rings on the Rally II's and the tires were blackwalls instead of the raised white letter type, which were standard on the production cars. Makes you wonder if this is the way the Pontiac stylists first wanted the '70 Trans Am to look like.
