Ram4king,

The dollars involved in this car are high and the seller might see your comments as actionable with an easily defined financial cost to him for this transaction and his reputation. I would be careful just how you word those kind of comments.

I do not know you or him and I don't have an axe to grind, just a heads up for what is an albeit extremely unlikely put potential very messy situation for you and this forum.

Sorry 66 sprint, but the guys that work at the parts place will even tell you its joe's car, at least they did the beginning of this week, no big secret there, so if you inspected the car yourself who are you trying to fool???? it is joe's car but he had the guy list it for him that currently has it for sale!

Another thing, Why would someone have a buddy list a car for them of this caliber. It's not like he's going to be able to hide from the IRS or something.

Also, when someone makes a statement of the car not be an "Original block car", why have someone else come on here and say "oh yes it is", why not come on here yourself, state the previous owner ,or owners names(Give a brief recent history),if you have nothing to hide but the profit you stand to make , what's the deal!

If the owner is in fact the owner of The Parts Place, I would think he would want this all to be on the up-n-up, or it could tarnish his reputation.

This statement made me laugh out loud! Clearly, anyone who would make this statement hasn't had much experience with Joe. If you search the business forum you will find many members describing their experience with the Parts Place. Simply stated, Joe is a rude, arrogant, a$$.

If this is his car, it would answer some questions.

Are the bids real? No way.

Is it likely that this auction is being used for publicity, to draw attention to the car for a future sale? I would bet the farm on it.

Would Joe manipulate details or circumstance for his own gain? Without question.

Would I buy this car if I knew Joe had anything to do with it? Not a chance.

I don't know if this is Joe's car, although the ebay seller and Joe seem to share some personality traits.

Have I made any "actionable" statements here? NO, the truth is not actionable.

actually I can understand why joe would not want to sell the car, dealing with people on cars is a major pain in the ass, but I would think if I had someone list a car for me I would want them to put a little better effort in the description and sale of my car but hey to each their own! hard to say if auction is for real, but if it is I am among the many that let a couple RA 4 cars go for way to cheap in the past if this is what they are going to do, I do know a little story on the car when it was purchased and from my account it was all number matching but I was not there and did not look at the car it was all second hand information from somone that had looked at it, so who knows for sure! the way the 69 liberty blue parchment judge was altered or converted to number matching who know's,

If I'm close in my assumption that 50% of these cars exist, there are 10 or so Hemi Cuda convertibles, and 147 Judge verts, almost 15 times more pontiacs.
As far as the hardtops, there are 380 Hemi Cuda's, and 5355 Judge hardtops, 14 times more judges than cuda's.

There were 11 hemicuda ragtops built in 71. (7 for US sale, 1 for Canadian sale and 3 for export sale) All 11 are accounted for. I used to own the yellow and white ragtop but sold it to Otis Chandler back in the 1980's for about 1 percent of what it is worth today! The main reason I sold it was that it was too slow: 14.05 at 105 in the quarter at the 1986 Musclecar Nationals. -Got beat by a 4 door 427 Impala.

They all still exist in one form or another. I think 10 of the 11 are restored and one is being finished currently.

As for where the race was it was in Ohio...

The one on Ebay 180042838647 is located here in Atlanta. Picture 10 on the ebay listing is the same one CC is using on his site. I dont know if Atlanta Muscle Cars owns it or has it on consignment.
