For a lot less, you could buy this one on Auto Trader. Probabably even rarer than the 455HO Volo has for sale. Just when you think you've seen it all!

I know of one more rare than that............it is a 4 speed car with air, ps,pb,pw ram air, 8-track etc..........sitting in a barn next to a 426 hemi motor. Never can tell what you will find in rural mississippi.

Florescents never show a car off, that is for sure...and no Pontiac script in the Grills and a 70 era master cylinder. Nice to see these rare cars come up for sale. Anyone see the VIN listed?

Nice car ! I wonder where and how that VOLO museum find all these rare ponchos ? They always seem to have a nice Gto,Transam or odd Pontiacs for sale as well and there prices are pretty reasonable for the most, how honest are they and are their cars good quality products and genuine ? I wish I could win the lottery !

Similar to the Judge section on the PY Forum it has been kind of quiet here lately. So far no body has commented on the Blue Convertible. I guess you guys didn't find that one funny. C'mon don't you guys know that car is a 1 of 1 LLM convertible prototype?

OK. In all seriousness I would like to learn more about the 455 call out emblem on the front fender of that '72HO conv. Is that correct or should the car have a 455HO decal there. I thought D-port 455 cars use the metal emblem and HO cars use the decal. And while we are on this subject, I came across the attached pic of this '71 455 D-port Lemans on the Ultimate GTO site, note the metal 455 emblem under the front fender gills. That is correct for '71 455 D-port cars, right? But for '71 455HO T-37 & Lemans' , isn't the 455HO decal placed at the front of the fender?

Wow, good catch on the emblem. On the 72, it is correct to have the 455 emblem there on the front fender, though that one is not in the correct place. Should be b/n fender well and the marker light. That emblem would be on all 72's w/455's, except GTO HO. On an HO lemans, you wouldn't know, as they did not place the call out for HO on the lemans. I talked to the original owner of my HO lemans and he even stated that there were no call outs for "RAM AIR" on the hood when he bought the car new. Though they should be there.
Not sure on the 71's. Oh, and I really didn't find that comparison funny at all. ! J/K

This is where the placement should be on the 455 emblem. Maybe the factory put them in the wrong place on this green car...who knows?

'71 GTO/LeMans 455HO is on back of front fender, Judge is on the wing and T-37 was supposed to be up by the front marker light. Of course some of us did not get it anywhere, well, except under the hood and that is really where it matters. Yes size does matter. LOL

Pretty good memory Judge273! I did do a cheap paint job on it years ago though. It was wearing original paint and stripes when I bought it, however. Good pictures are hard to come by with my car, as it has been in storage longer than I have owned a digital camera. Also, this car had a Judge wing installed by the dealer when new (now removed), so most of my pictures show that installed. I should scan something and make an avatar from it. Would be more appropriate than a picture of my airplane, anyway. |

VIN is 2D67X2P133151
![]() Don't see a Formula wheel on the options list. Like Lloyd notes, definitely not a concours restore. Looks nice but seems over-valued. Last edited by Drew W; 12-19-2006 at 06:10 PM. |

Is it me, am I missing something? The last time I looked at the ad on ebay or Volo I didn't see any proclamation that the car is #'s matching. Maybe I missed it.
